20th Century Playwrights >> Leslie Ayvazian
Leslie Ayvazian, Armenian Playwright Leslie Ayvazian - performed in the one-woman play Jenny Keeps Talking (MTC), written for her by Richard Greenberg. Other Greenberg plays include Safe as Houses (McCarter) and Neptune’s Hips (Ensemble Studio Theatre). She also appeared in his American Playhouse film, Ask Me Again. Other theatre credits include Raised in Captivity (Vineyard Theatre); Lost in Yonkers (u/s Broadway); Lips Together, Teeth Apart (u/s MTC). Leslie wrote and appeared in Nine Armenians, which was produced at the Mark Taper Forum and Manhattan Theatre Club (Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Play). High Dive, Leslie’s one-woman show, was produced by the Play Company at Long Wharf Theatre and at Manhattan Class Company. Her new play, Lovely Day (Play Company) will open in January 2006. TV credits include Law & Order: SVU (recurring) and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
